Our purpose built building is a lovely relaxing space for the dogs with all natural products used and top of the range equipment. We space out our appointments as we focus on the dog being groomed as we try to have it as quiet and relaxed as possible for the dog. We give treats and loads of cuddles to our furry friends. Yes we have many dogs that are anxious/nervous, we space out our appointments so it is as quiet and as relaxing as possible, take breaks, give treats and lots of cuddles, this helps with reduce stress during their groom. We ask that you let us know should your dog be anxious or nervous.
Approx. 2 weeks after they have had all their vaccinations. We do a gentle introduction to grooming, gentle warm bathing and blow drying/brushing, cuddles, breaks. This helps avoid them being a anxious/nervous dog when being groomed – or even aggressive. They need to get familiar to the different sounds in the salon such as the dryers and clippers. And having table time to get use to standing nice and still as possible as we are using sharp tools, ie scissors and clippers.  We talk you through the full groom procedure at your consultation and are more than happy to show you around.
Grooming in winter is just as important as summer, in order to avoid matted hair. Matted hair cannot be brushed out, this needs to be clipped short as it tightens over time and when the matts get wet. This is also uncomfortable for the dog. The most humane thing to do is clip the hair short.
